London DLD Academic Course

London Academic Summer Courses, based in central London, are designed for students to explore and engage in key GCSE curriculum areas while exploring London’s vibrant culture, communication, innovation and influence within their chosen academic stream through weekly themes.

The course is based on GCSE/IGCSE the curriculum, and students chose their academic stream from the rich palette of STEAM, Social Studies or Arts, and immerse themselves into the world of knowledge through weekly themes: Culture, Communication, Innovation and Influence against the backdrop of London, all while fostering language development, presentation skills and deeper subject understanding. Students will choose one of the following academic streams each week:

Each stream will include 20 hours of learning per week, involving practical application, a field trip each week, and project-based study around a weekly theme. Students are assessed on academic performance and attitude towards learning in lessons and this assessment is documented in the student’s weekly report.

London Academic Summer Courses fully integrate English language learning and academic subject study through European ground-breaking teaching method – Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL). The core curriculum of this effective dual learning is based on the 4Cs – Content, Cognition, Communication and Culture.
