10-15 year olds, girls and boys (English level: Elementary to Advanced)
All-in English Immersion Summer Courses allow students to immerse in a wide range of unique summer activities alongside an intensive and interactive English language academic programme. Local British children will join students across the course to create a truly international and immersive summer experience.
Designed for students who are overwhelmed by the number of English ‘Plus’ options to choose from, All-in English Immersion Summer Courses offer extensive ‘academic’ social programme outside the classroom, which all students can freely explore and experience. The breadth of uniquely designed extra-curricular activities foster exploration of interests and character development, and build great transferable skills, such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, leadership, time management, and public speaking. These are important life skills that lead to the all-round development of students which prepare them for facing the competitiveness of the present times and the future.
Students are given an English level assessment on the first morning to make sure they are placed in the right class to really enjoy and learn as much as possible. The programme includes 20 hours per week structured English lessons including interactive project based learning and presentations, extensive academic social programme, and 2 full-day excursions per week. Students will be taught by highly experienced tutors in EFL (English as a Foreign Language) teaching who have ability to make language learning fun. Activities will vary each week, including at least:
- Animal Care Workshop – spend time looking after Plumpton’s vast collection of wildlife
- Archery & Wall Climbing
- STEM Workshop with practical, hands-on projects
- Water Sports and Outdoor Adventure Activities
- E-Sports Class with professional tutor
- “Next Top Chef” farm-to-table cooking classes in Plumpton’s world-class Agri-Food Hub
All students will receive online introductory classes and pre-arrival information from tutors before the summer, as well as extending their summer experience with their fellow students with 4 x 45 minute group EFL online classes (one every 3 months) after the summer, and also receive optional 1:1 specialist consultation with a Higher Education specialist for any student interested in studying at a top UK school or university.
The course is based in Plumpton College in the magnificent English countryside at the foot of the South Downs, and only 20 minutes away from the popular tourist resort of Brighton. Students live, study and play in an English speaking, safe and secure multinational environment, where they have fun, make new friends from around the globe, practise their English with local UK based students, and enjoy every opportunity to improve their English ability.
