English and Chelsea Football Academy enables international students to be trained by professional Chelsea coaches while improving their English language skills.
English and Chelsea Football Academy is a unique English language plus football training summer camps which combines soccer coaching with English tuition. The Chelsea FC coaches’ goal is to make the dream of young footballers a closer reality by enhancing students’ football skills, playing practice matches, personal discipline methods, teamwork and seminars in which Chelsea’s secrets for success are shared.
The English and Chelsea Football Academy is open to all abilities, and students are divided into teams by age. The programme includes two 90 minute sessions of football coaching programme each day, taught by professional Chelsea coaches, covering techniques, tactics, physical, mental and social elements of the game. Highlights of the course are a visit to Stamford Bridge, home of Chelsea football club, and a private half-day training session at Chelsea’s state of the art training ground.
Besides football coaching, students will also receive a tailor-made English tuition, 15 hours per week, taught by qualified EFL English teachers, focusing on football and real life situations of student’s coaching, allowing them to put everything they learn into practice during their football coaching. In addition, students will enjoy a full range of varied activities and social programme as well as two days weekend excursions, all also offer students a chance to socialise with students from across the globe.
English and Chelsea Football Academy consists of a full programme of English tuition, football coaching, activities, and excursions. It includes:
- 15 hours of English tuition per week
- 15 hours of specialist football coaching per week
- Half-day’s intensive coaching at Chelsea FC training ground
- Visit to Stamford Bridge Stadium
- Chelsea Football Club soccer kit
- Full evening activities and social programme
- 2 full-day excursions per week to London and beyond
- Airport transfers (Heathrow & Gatwick airports between 10:00-16:00 GMT)

Excursions are a vital part of the summer experience for international students to gain a cultural understanding of the UK alongside English language study. Students will have 2 fully day excursion each week to experience the rich cultural heritage of Britain. The choices include:

The timetable below shows a typical English and Chelsea Football Academy summer programme.
Students stay in comfortable boarding houses of Wycombe Abbey, single, triple or quad rooms all with en-suite bathrooms. Girls and boys are accommodated separately. Common rooms and kitchens and provide the perfect environment for relaxation and socialising. A team of friendly staff will stay with the students to look after them in the evenings and is on duty throughout the night.
Well balanced, nutritious three cooked meals a day with a wide range of salads and hot dishes are provided in the school dining room. Vegetarian meals are always available and are clearly labelled. Drinks and snacks are provided during break times. Packed lunches are provided for excursions.
Set in impressive parkland grounds spanning over 160 acres, the school is home to a 25-metre indoor heated swimming pool, a dance studio, climbing walls and various other outstanding amenities. There are students’ lounges, common TV room, and kitchens facilities in the accommodation.
Laundry is done once a week. All bed linen is provided and is laundered once a week. Towels are not provided.

Chelsea’s regular kit colours are royal blue shirts and shorts with white socks. All students attending Chelsea English and Football Academy will receive a set of Chelsea’s kit.
