English plus Adventure Sports Summer Camp

English plus Adventure Sports Summer Camp is designed for children who would like to have a breakaway from screens and reconnect with the natural world. When children experience adventure and achieve things they would never thought they could at a young age, they become parts of them. They come away filled with confidence, enriched with newfound skills and get ready to face their future with adventurous spirits.

English plus Adventure Sports Summer Camp is a perfect combination of English language learning with adventure activities. The course syllabus incorporates 30 hours of English language study with 15 hours of adventure sessions taught by fully-qualified professional staff. The program is action packed and challenging, and aims to develop student’s English language proficiency and adventure skills through unique activities.

English Plus Adventure

In addition to the Adventure activities the course aims to develop English language skills through a variety of engaging sessions, including academic tutorials, group projects, conversation classes, and hands-on excursionss that take learning outside the classroom.

  • Course Essentials:

    English plus Adventure Sports Summer Camp consists of a well-balanced programme of English tuition, hands-on workshops, various activities, sports and excursions. The structured programme includes:

    • 30 hours of English tuition over two weeks
    • 15 hours of specialist instructions over two weeks
    • 2 full-day and 1 half-day excursions per week

    Excursions are a vital part of the summer experience for international students to gain a cultural understanding of the UK alongside English language study.     English plus Adventure Timetable

  • Boarding:

    OIC bedroomThis course takes place at Oxford International College Brighton (OIC Brighton), opened in September 2023. Students stay in the college bedrooms with single and twin rooms, all en-suite. Girls and boys are accommodated separately.

    In each boarding house, there is a senior member of staff who looks after the students in the evenings and is on duty throughout the night.

    Meals:

    Well balanced, nutritious three cooked meals are provided in the dining hall. Drinks and biscuits are available in the lesson breaks. Packed lunches are provided for excursions.

    OIC 05Facilities:

    A stunning 80,000-square metre enclosed campus provides an ideal location for young summer school students. Facilities include modern teaching facilities, including state-of-the-art laboratories and newly furnished boarding houses. Located a short distance from the seaside town of Brighton. With vast amounts of green space, sports facilities and peaceful study spots, students feel inspired by natural surroundings and state-of-the-art learning spaces. Wi-Fi available throughout.

    Laundry:

    Laundry is done once a week. All bed linen is provided and is laundered once a week. Towels are not provided.

  • Oxford International College Brighton (OIC Brighton) opened in September 2023. It is the second branch of Oxford International College (OIC) in Oxford, which is consistently among the top five A-level colleges in the UK.

    Nestled away in the idyllic English countryside – and only minutes from the city, coast, and international transport links, OIC Brighton is located in the East Sussex coastal town, just a stone’s throw away from everything the cosmopolitan city of Brighton has to offer. For those who love water sports, there are plenty of local clubs to join, plus a marina and beaches down the road. We’re also close to the South Downs designated area of natural beauty, and easily accessible to London.

    The school offers an intensive one-year pre-GCSE (Year 9), two-year GCSE (Years 10-11), intensive one-year GCSE (Year 11), and two-year A Level programme (Years 12-13) courses for both British and overseas students in Years 9 to 13.
