London IELTS Exam Preparation Summer Camp at Kings College London is an intensive specialist course designed for students planning to take the IELTS examination, finetuning their English language skills and preparation for IELTS in the heart of London.
London IELTS Exam Preparation Summer Camp opens to students with an upper intermediate (B1) level of English or above. The programme combines bespoke English language learning with focused preparation for the IELTS examination, aiming to develop key insights and knowledge surrounding the IELTS examination content, marking criteria and examination skills, with bi-weekly in-house IELTS mock examination and one-to-one tailored feedback from IELTS experts.
Taught by experienced exam preparation teachers, the course helps students get familiar with the exam papers and topics, expand their Academic English vocabulary, reading and writing skills, and improve their IELTS exam techniques and practice the reading, writing, listening and speaking papers using past exam papers. At the end of the course, all students have option to take the IELTS Examination, and take home with an official IELTS examination results.
During the two-week programme, student’s English will be assessed in the following forms:
- An initial multi-skill placement test taken by all students to place them in the correct class.
- Continual assessment by the teachers throughout the English lessons and monitoring progress.
- Biweekly MOCK IELTS examinations, which will be marked and one-to-one tailored feedback given to students from our IELTS experts.
- End of course IELTS examination is included in the course fees
Outside lessons, students will enjoy a lively programme of sports and social activities as well as excursions. Boarding:
Classes take place in King’s College London’s Virginia Woolf Building on Kingsway, next to Holborn underground station. Accommodation is provided nearby in a private residence with single en suite bedrooms. Girls and boys are accommodated separately. All students are given a free travel-card, and students will never travel between the accommodation and campus without supervision from staff members.Meals:
Well balanced, nutritious cooked meals are provided at the College. Packed lunches are provided for excursions.Facilities:
Auditorium, high-quality classrooms with smart boards and projectors. Wi-Fi is available throughout the college and accommodation. Shared kitchen facility for hot water and fridges at the accommodation.Laundry:
