Young football players around the world dream of being footballing heroes playing for world class teams like Inter Academy. As one of the world’s leading football club, Inter Academy uses the power of sport to motivate, educate and inspire. Inter Academy Football Summer Camp enables international students to be trained by professional Inter coaches while improving their English language skills.
Inter Academy Football Summer Camp is a unique summer camp, combining soccer coaching with English tuition. The coaching programme is designed and delivered by Inter Academy coaches, a direct extension of the professional football club Inter Milan’s Youth Sector training program. The goal of the Inter Academy training is to provide theoretical and practical skills, develop and improve technical, tactical, physical and mental football skills through Inter Academy coaching, so that each student is able to learn in an effective and rational way and transfer their technical “know-how” to future matches. Inter Academy Football Summer Camp syllabus includes the followings:
English:
Alongside football coaching, students will receive 12 hours of English tuition per week, taught by qualified EFL English teachers. English curriculum allows students to learn English through sport, and has been created to provide knowledge, skills and confidence for students to communicate effectively both on and off field. Students will develop key language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing, as well as lexical resource, grammatical structures and pronunciation. Content will cover language needed for day-to-day life on the camp and training sessions so students are able to use their language immediately and communicate with international teammates and coaches.
Football:
Students will have 15 hours football coaching per week by Inter Academy coaches, building on students’ techniques and skills. At the end of each week, students will take part in a tournament to put their newly developed skills into action! Throughout training, coaches will focus on 5 key areas of development that will help build players into champions:
- Physical-Coordinative Area
- Technical-Tactical Area
- Social Area
- Psychological-Motivational Area
- Medical Area
Workshops:
Outside training field, students will attend 2 football workshops per week delivered by the Inter Academy coaches that focus on such topics as:
- The history of Inter Milan
- Football tactics and philosophies
- What makes great players great
- What it takes to be a professional footballer
Projects:
Students will also learn about the key elements of football through a project based learning approach focusing on areas such as:
- Food & Nutrition
- Injury prevention
- Sports performance
- Player attributes
- Stadium design
In addition, students will enjoy a full range of varied activities and social programme as well as two full-day excursions, including a visit to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Students live, study and play in an English speaking, safe and secure multinational environment, where they have fun, make new friends from around the globe, and enjoy every opportunity to improve their English ability.

- Inter Academy certificate of attendance and English language progress report
- Insurance and airport transfers (Heathrow & Gatwick airports between 10:00-22:00 GMT)

Excursions are a vital part of the summer experience for international students to gain a cultural understanding of the UK alongside English language study. Students will have 2 fully day excursion each week to experience the rich cultural heritage of Britain. The choices include:

The sample timetables below include a typical weekly programme and a typical day of Inter Academy Football Summer Camp.
Boarding:
Students will stay in the boarding house of King Edward’s School. Rooms are single, twin and four-bed dorms with shared bathrooms. Girls and boys are accommodated in separate boarding houses. In each boarding house, there is a senior member of staff who looks after the students in the evenings and is on duty throughout the night.
Meals:
Well balanced, nutritious cooked meals are provided in the beautiful dining hall. Drinks and biscuits are available in the lesson breaks. Packed lunches are provided for excursions.
Facilities:
All-weather pitches across the 100-acre site; well-equipped sports hall; tennis courts; large astro-turf playing fields; outdoor climbing wall; TVs & common areas in boarding houses; indoor heated swimming pool. Student computer room plus a computer in each boarding houses as well as Wi-fi are also available.
Laundry: Laundry is done once a week. All bed linen is provided and is laundered once a week. Towels are not provided.
King Edward’s school was established in 1553 by King Edward VI (only son of the late King Henry VIII), and is one of the famous English private schools in the south of England. The School is situated in a picturesque 120 acre campus in beautiful village of Witley, Surrey. It is within an hour of both Central London and the south coast of England.
