Tonbridge Global Young Leaders is an intensive leadership programme designed to provide key skills required for ambitious and highly motivated students to become future leaders of their generation. The course aims to build students’ confidence and competence in life skills such as project management, negotiation, debating, presentation, critical thinking, logic and problem solving.
This prestigious summer program takes place at held at exclusive British boarding school Tonbridge School. Centred round a weekly themed project, the course syllabus comprises 28 hours of leadership tuition each week which includes theory lessons, interactive lectures, project research, debate club and real-life case studies in order to provide a stimulating and varied learning experience, and to build students’ confidence and competence in life skills such as project management, team-building, negotiation, formal presentations, critical thinking, logic and problem solving.
Weekly themes are based on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) including Climate Action, No Poverty, Quality Education, Peace, justice and strong institutions, and Health and Well-being, which are delivered through interactive lectures, case studies, projects and workshops. Negotiations, public speaking and debating are key competencies needed in the modern world. On this course, students take part in workshops specifically created and adapted to develop these skills. Research skills, critical thinking and problem solving are all essential for leadership and these are integrated onto the young leaders programme through case studies. In addition, a well balanced weekly activities and excursions are integrated to the course.

Tonbridge Global Young Leaders Program consists of a well-balanced programme of Young Leader tuition, activities, sports and excursions. The structured programme includes:

The sample timetable below is a typical 2-week Tonbridge Global Young Leaders Program.
Boarding:
Students will stay in the boarding house of Tonbridge School, in single or twin bedrooms with separate male and female accommodation, and bathrooms are shared between 4-6 students.
The friendly and supportive residential staff team are available 24 hours per day to support students with any needs.
Meals:
Well balanced, nutritious cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided in the beautiful dining hall. Water and drinks are provided with meals.
Packed lunches are provided for excursions.
We will endeavour to meet all dietary requirements, e.g. vegetarian, vegan, Halal etc. Please inform us in advance for special dietary.
Facilities:
The school boasts an array of high-quality facilities with its 150 acre site, including modern classrooms, a recently refurbished library, a large chapel, lecture theatres and an excellent sports centre – equipped with a swimming pool, sports hall, tennis courts, athletics track and extensive playing fields. Wi-Fi is available throughout the school.
Laundry:
Laundry is done once a week. All bed linen is provided and is laundered once a week. Towels are not provided.
Tonbridge School in Kent is part of the ‘Eton Group’ of schools. Established in 1553 by Sir Andrew Judde and King Edward VI, the school is one of most highly-regarded and exclusive UK boarding schools with around 790 boys between 13 and 18 years. It is one of only a very few of the ancient public schools not to have turned co-educational.
