London Performing Arts Summer Camp

London Young Performers

London Performing Arts Summer Camp at Kings College London is an industry certified summer programme designed for students who want to gain a first-hand experience of the performing arts industry in central London. Taught by top professionals from London’s West End, students learn West End performance through practical demonstrations and exercises.

Based at Kings College London, students will receive 50 hours of specialist training and workshops, taught by cast members from the top West End shows. Students will learn and gain a firsthand experience of West End performance through tuition in Acting, Singing, Dancing, Stage-combat and Puppetry, as well as taking part in West End Workshops and watching West End Shows.

The course also offers students the means to gain industry certification of West End On Demand and a a true taste of West End Theatre. At the end of the 2-week course there will be a final performance followed by an award ceremony.

  • Course Essentials:

    London Performing Arts Summer Camp consist of a well-balanced programme of specialist tuition, activities and culture excursions. The structured programme includes:

    • 50 hours of specialist training and workshops
    • Capstone Industry project with final performance
    • 4 full-day and 2 half-day excursions, including theatre tour
    • Full social and activity programme in the evenings
    • West End On Demand Certificate of Completion

    • Airport transfers (between 9:00 – 19:00 GMT)

  • Boarding:
    Classes take place in King’s College London’s Virginia Woolf Building on Kingsway, next to Holborn underground station. Accommodation is provided nearby in a private residence with single en suite bedrooms. Girls and boys are accommodated separately. All students are given a free travel-card, and students will never travel between the accommodation and campus without supervision from staff members.

    Meals:
    Well balanced, nutritious cooked meals are provided at the College. Packed lunches are provided for excursions.

    Facilities:
    Auditorium, high-quality classrooms with smart boards and projectors. Wi-Fi is available throughout the college and accommodation. Shared kitchen facility for hot water and fridges at the accommodation.

    Laundry:
    Laundry is done once a week. All bed linen is provided and is laundered once a week. Towels are not provided.
