Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) is strongly recommended by top UK universities, including Cambridge, Oxford, Imperial, LSE and UCL. All describe it as ‘of immense value’, and it earns up to 28 UCAS points. We aim to help students get their best possible grades and stand out in their applications to Oxbridge/G5 universities.
The EPQ is a research-based A-Level qualification, equivalent to half an A-Level (28 UCAS points). It can be completed as either a 5,000 word dissertation, or an artefact or performance accompanied by a 1,000 word report. No exams! Many students find that they are able to achieve higher grades in their EPQ than their A-Level exams.
The EPQ is highly regarded by universities and employers all over the world. Many universities make lower A-Level offers to students undertaking an EPQ. This qualification helps students develop and demonstrate their skills relevant to university study such as independent research, critical thinking, and time management, which strengthen student’s application.
