The Study Abroad Groups and Student Exchange are school programmes designed to help primary and middle schools as well as university colleges empowering their students to discover the outside world and benefit from a global curriculum, global experiences, and global thinking.
The programme helps school/college students to come to the UK to learn English, acquire skills, cultivate global perspectives and critical thinking, and experience the world around them at some of the best English campuses in London, Oxford and Cambridge, including Oxford University and Cambridge University.
In a famous speech, Dr. Gordon Gee said: “A student who has a chance to experience the world first hand, to navigate in unknown territory, will grow as a person, gain confidence, and learn skills that will last a lifetime. To step outside the familiar is to enliven creativity that nourishes innovation and the intellectual life.”
There are more and more secondary schools, including primary schools, are expanding and strengthening their participation in study abroad short programmes to enable their students to step outside of the classroom with a faculty member and a small group of their peers to experience hands-on learning opportunities in international contexts. The immersion in the first class English environment with packed lessons of foreign culture, language, problem-solving, and teamwork enables students return imbued with the ability to value differences, build on commonalities, and to see what is beyond the horizon.
